Kimble Music app privacy
Kimble Music is operated by Austin Kimble, a sole proprietor in Texas, United States. Contact austin2.0@gmail.com for privacy questions, access, correction, export or deletion requests.
Your account and music studies
We use your name, email address and account identifier to sign you in, activate your enrollment and connect you with your teacher. Your instruments, musical goals, timezone, lesson details, assignments, practice progress, repertoire, notes and teacher feedback support your music studies.
You choose whether to submit audio, videos, photos or documents. Camera and microphone permissions are requested for recording actions you choose. You can select an individual file instead. Teaching records and files are private to the student and authorized teaching team; Austin administers the studio. Temporary file links should not be forwarded.
When you choose remembered sign-in, the app saves an encrypted sign-in session on your device with keys protected by the operating system. If you do not choose remembered sign-in, the session is kept only while the app is running. Optional biometric unlock uses your device security system; Kimble Music does not receive or store your fingerprint or face data. Signing out clears the saved app session and biometric binding. Your device password manager is a separate service that may offer to save or fill credentials with your permission. A deletion-request receipt can remain on your device so you can check completion after your account is closed. Requests to our services also produce technical records such as account events, timestamps, IP addresses, browser or device request information and service errors used to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service.
Before uploading a large video, the app prepares a smaller copy on your device and checks it before sharing. The selected original is preserved. Preparation uses local processing, not a remote video service. Only a take you submit is uploaded to the teaching studio. Temporary prepared copies are cleared when they are no longer needed by the upload flow.
A small encrypted checkpoint on this device remembers your last studio screen and practice draft. Signing out removes that checkpoint too. Selected media remains in app-managed cache. If the operating system removes a cached file, you may need to choose that file again.
Safety, reporting and blocking
We record the Studio Content Rules version you accept and when you accept it, your block preferences, reports and relevant reported material, and the studio owner's review decisions. These records help us enforce the rules and respond to concerns. Rules acceptance is required before contributing teaching content. Sending a report is optional.
Austin reviews reports. The app does not disclose the reporter's identity to the reported person. Blocking pauses sharing in both directions; it does not cancel bookings or delete accounts. Previously opened or downloaded files cannot be recalled. Safety records associated with your teaching enrollment are removed when that enrollment is removed, subject to the separate provider-log and legal-record qualifications below.
Providers and external pages
Supabase provides authentication, our database and private file storage. The project is hosted in the US East region. Namecheap Private Email sends authentication messages. Support email sent to the contact address above is handled by Google's Gmail service. Providers process the information needed to deliver and protect these services, including security checks on email. Service processing may occur in countries where these providers operate.
Provider request logs can include IP addresses, approximate location inferred from an IP address, TLS-client fingerprints, account and session identifiers, request timing and error information. These records help operate, protect and troubleshoot the service. IP-derived location does not use your phone's GPS. The app does not import your phone contacts or device calendar; it stores your assigned teaching relationships and lesson schedule. Operational logs are separate from teaching records and can have different retention.
This Android release has no ads, purchases or gift checkout. Device push registration is disabled in this release. Assignments and published feedback remain available in the app inbox. Uploaded teaching files are not sent by the app to an AI service.
GoDaddy hosts our public support, deletion and website pages. GoDaddy's optional Real User Metrics program was disabled for this hosting account on October 30, 2026. GoDaddy's privacy notice explains its handling of technical information and retention criteria. These external pages should not be treated as free of operational logging.
Public informational pages opened from Explore use GoDaddy hosting. The app does not attach your studio credentials or teaching recordings to these links. Contact actions open an email draft for you to review and send. The introduction also stores a completion marker locally on your device.
Opening meeting, email or website links uses another service. Website inquiries, bookings, payments and optional website analytics are described in the website privacy policy. Stripe handles card details entered in its checkout; the studio does not store full card numbers or security codes.
Retention and inactive accounts
We keep studio information while it is needed for your teaching relationship, account administration and applicable legal obligations. We complete verified requests to delete the live studio account and its teaching data within 30 calendar days.
After 12 months without a lesson, feedback request or studio practice activity, Austin reviews whether an account and its materials are still needed. Before closing an account for inactivity, Austin gives at least 30 days' notice to download materials or arrange continued access. Material without an ongoing teaching or legal purpose is then removed. This is a manual review that also considers arrangements made outside the app; it is not automatic closure.
If limited booking or transaction records must remain for a specific accounting or dispute purpose, Austin reviews the reason and expiry and explains what remains. Names, email addresses, teaching notes and recordings are removed from retained booking records. Completed deletion-status receipts contain no account identifier or email and are removed after 90 days.
Support correspondence is handled separately from studio records. A deletion request includes review of relevant correspondence and any continuing support, security, dispute or legal need to retain it. Providers may retain restricted operational or security records and recovery copies under their own service requirements. Deleting a live account does not establish an immediate purge of every provider log or backup.
Namecheap describes daily email-server recovery backups retained for up to four weeks. This is not the retention period for live mailboxes or all email logs. The current Supabase plan exposes short operational log windows and does not include customer-accessible scheduled backups; those limits are not a universal deadline for every provider-held copy. If data is restored from a backup, completed deletions must be reapplied before restored personal information returns to ordinary use.
Your choices and deletion
Ask Austin to access, correct or export your studio information. In Settings, open Manage account & data. Full-account deletion requests closure of the shared studio login and removal of teaching records and files across the app and website. Booking records may need review first. Teacher accounts require a safe transfer of other students' records.
The separate Remove studio data only option removes mobile-studio data while retaining the shared website login and website records. Choose full-account deletion to close the shared account. You can also use our account deletion page or email Austin from the account address. We verify ownership or a guardian's authority before acting. Never email a password.
Younger students
Independent accounts are intended for students ages 13 and older. Teacher enrollment requires confirmation of that minimum age; the app does not independently verify age or collect a birth date for that check. Under-13 accounts and parent-managed enrollment are not available in this release. Any additional guardian authorization required for a teen's participation must be arranged with Austin before enrollment.
Security and updates
Connections use HTTPS, and access rules restrict teaching records and files to authorized users. This is not end-to-end encryption. No system can guarantee complete security. Contact Austin if you suspect unauthorized access.
This policy is effective October 12, 2026. It was updated October 19, 2026 to clarify Explore and website technical metrics, and November 5, 2026 to reflect the disabled GoDaddy Real User Metrics setting. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate app notice or account contact channel.
